bear was a sacred animal to the Yakama

In the washaat religion, there are seven drums and one bell ringer.

- Arrow Heads
The arrowheads were used for hunting in the mountains. They mainly
hunted big game like elk, deer or bear.
- Dream Catcher
In the stories, it is said that when you have a bad dream that
the dream catcher takes the bad dreams and gives you good dreams.
- Fishing Net
When in shallow parts of a river, the Yakamas threw the nets out,
which has rock weights to make it sink. Whatever is in the nets
path gets caught.
- Video Tape
The videotape shows the recorded Indian dances. The local Indian
Club of Wapato was performing these dances.
- Dried Salmon
When Yakamas fish on the Columbia River, they often dried the
salmon so it wouldnt rot, or just to use it for storage.
- Chipper
The chippers are used to make sharp projectiles such as knives,
arrowheads, or fishing hooks. The chippers are make from rocks
with rough edges.
- Time Ball
A woman often made a time ball to keep track of certain events
that occurred. They put a certain knot or bead in it.
- Beads
The Yakamas acquired beads from the Europeans or whites by trade
for the furs or hides
