Completely renovated in 2002, the Yakima Valley Museum offers unique spaces for business meetings, seminars, wedding receptions, and almost any other special event.

The Ballroom overlooks the lawns and trees of Franklin Park and beyond to the distinctive ridges of the Yakima Valley. The room is well appointed and decorated in a unique Art Deco style. Windows Tables Waiter Serving
The Jewett Entrance Gallery, with its soaring wall of glass, basalt columns, and dramatic lighting is available every evening after the museum closes for those special occasions when you need more than just a room with four walls! Lobby
A small Conference Room is the perfect place for a meeting away from the interruptions at the office.

The Museum Soda Fountain
is a ca. 1930 Art Deco ice cream and sandwich shopan authentic piece of Yakima history and a perfect place for a small birthday party or other fun event.

The H. M. Gilbert Homeplace–an orchard house meticulously restored and furnished to ca.1900has lovely gardens and interior spaces. This historic setting may be just right for your special event. Gilbert House

Rental fee includes:

  • Twenty-two 60" round tables, twelve 8' rectangular tables, and padded chairs set up however you need them
  • Use of a full kitchen
  • Dance floor
  • Dinner and dessert plates, flatware, and wine glasses for up to 160 guests
  • Punch bowls and ladles
  • Commercial coffee maker
  • Overhead projector
  • Podium
  • Microphone
  • Projection screen
  • TV & VCR or DVD
  • Internet CAT-5 access [no wireless]

Details:

  • Bookings may be made well in advance or on short notice.
  • You are invited to look at the facilities any time the museum is open to the public and other times by appointment.
  • You may bring your own food or retain the caterer of your choice.
  • The Museum Soda Fountain is available to cater your event. Please ask!
  • Alcohol is allowed; a banquet permit obtained from any liquor store is all that is required.
  • Restrooms are available both on the same level, and directly below.
