21st Annual Rotary Storyfest
Yakima Valley Museum

May 17 & 25, 2016

You are invited to a performance of
Our Earth
Every River Has Its People

The Museum is thrilled to welcome the Seattle Opera for four performances of
Every River Has Its People, from their highly regarded Our Earth education outreach program. This 40-minute youth opera combines music, drama, and science in a magical production inspired by the ecology of the Pacific Northwest and traditional Native American storytelling.

Designed specifically for K-5 students, Every River Has Its People tells a story about the challenges and benefits of living harmoniously with the land and with each other. The production is fully staged with costumes and scenery, and features four professional singers with piano accompaniment. As an added bonus, the artists will spend a few minutes after each show talking with the audience and answering questions.
