David Kellet's snake collection came to the Children's Underground. Visitors included a king snake, gopher snake, rattlesnake, milk snake, and an iguana. |

Aunt Birdie delighted a packed audience with her trained birds and puppets. George the cockatoo talked to the audience. After the performance children were able to hold the animals. |

Nancy Stewart - Oodles of Animals
Nancy returned to the Children's Underground with more wonderful songs and laughter. Many people braved the snowstorm the previous year to see her sing only to be rewarded with a most exciting show that was fun for the whole family. As Nancy left, many parents asked for more...and when was she to return? Nancy Stewart has performed with Burl Ives and has recorded the children's albums Oodles of Animals and Rhythm of the Rocks. |

The Proper Ladies - Women & Work
Anabel Graetz and Deborah Goss return to Yakima to sing songs and tell a few tales of women and women's work in nineteenth century America. Women sang, and they sang with the children, who helped with the work as soon as they were old enough. A weaving song, a lullaby, and songs of the kitchen and the backyard. The youngsters will join the songs and even a game or two. |

Porompompom
Ricardo Chama performs with two additional puppeteers in a traditional puppet show. Mr. Chama studied drama in Argentina and traveled through Ecuador with a puppeteer group. Many of the tales performed were written by Mr. Chama or adapted from folk stories. |
