
Kid's Day at the Museum

Monkeyshines: Kid's Day at the Museum is a collaborative effort between the Yakima Valley Museum, the Yakima Junior Chamber (Jaycees), Celebra la Ciencia, and the Child Abuse & Neglect Coordinating Council of Yakima (CANCCY) to offer free activities to families. Held inside the Yakima Valley Museum and outside on the Noel FamilyStage, Monkeyshines: Kid's Day at the Museum will feature many FREE hands-on activities provided by local community organizations and businesses.
The Yakima Valley Museum Saturday Specials program
welcomes the Pacific Science Center and their Symmetry hands-on physics exhibits.
Where can you explore kaleidoscopes, palindromes, and polarized light? The Symmetry exhibits! Investigate this fascinating field of mathematics with hands-on, tabletop exhibits and activities. Participants can construct a Bucky Ball, investigate how a kaleidoscope works and discover the mathematical artistry of M.C. Escher.
